2nd Interview

Went for my 2nd interview at ST Aerospace. Din sleep much due to the Portugal vs Germany match, and also the tossing around in bed before the game. Game was exciting with 5 goals, with Germany edging the thriller. Damn. Lost 5 bucks. Bought draw in the 1X2, thanks to a stupid dream I had the previous night.

Back to the interview. In the morning, I took the train to Toa Payoh and took bus 90 to ST Aerospace. Wah, took me like one hour to reach lor. Damn long leh. Learnt a new way to get there, dunno can get to use it or not. Hopefully I get offered a job there. The new way I learnt from a fellow interviewee is taking 93 from Bishan ( the other side), stopping near Comfort Driving Centre, then change 94.

If ever I am going to work there, I will go get a foldable bike, ride from my house to the 93 bus stop, then probably ride to ST Aerospace from where I would alight. Wah, damn healthy man. Yes, should stick to this if I am going to work at the Paya Lebah ST Aerospace area.

I actually applied for the Field Electrical Engineer post, meaning I might get posted to the various air bases around to work. Meaning, Changi, Sembawang or Paya Lebah. Heard that, might even got chance to get posted to France to work. Haha. Cool man, working with the pilots-wannabe of the Singapore Air Force inn France. Haiz. That's if I get the job man.

Well well. Heard from the HR director that results shall be known in a week's time. Hopefully I get the call...

Work (or actually the lack of one)

2 nights ago, I chanced upon my friend's nick on MSN, which wrote "Shift Production Engineer at T**H". I was like what the f***. The bloody VP of that bloody company rejected me and employed my friend??? OK, even though I was rejected for the post of Process Engineer, but still... To think I was supposed to go for the Pre-Employment Orientation, but it was changed to an interview with the VP. And I had to flunk it. What the f***!

"So what makes you better than the others, since you are neither an officer in your NS days and a leader in any activity group in university?"

Ballz to you la, bloody VP. I was so sure that I was going to get employed at T**H when I was notified that the Pre-Employment Orientation was changed to another interview the DAY BEFORE lor. That was like shit...

Back to my friend. Not that I say I am better than him, but in terms of results, communicative skills and looks, I am indeed much better. But I guess, it's the different posts we applied for la. Haha.. So, Good Luck, my friend. Real sincere blessing, ok.

Looking back, in the 3rd year, when I got rejected by SS*C and Cha***red for the SMP sponsorship, I am not if those rejections were an indication that I am not suited for work in the semiconductor industry. But with the rejection of T**H, I sincerely believe that semiconductor is not my calling. Haha.

Even though my job search has not been successful so far, I am praying that the company I went to an interview for would appreciate and want me. After all, slogging for the past 4 years to nudge myself into the 2nd Uppers Honours class, I dun really expect to work for some small and less-known companies. I do believe I deserve better, you know.

Well well, in 7 days time, I will have my results known. Fingers crossed.
